“Quality child care in a home environment”
Communicare has an accredited, quality-assured Family Day Care Scheme with more than 65 carers registered within their home North and South of the River.
The Scheme offers care for children from birth to 12 years of age in the licensed home of carers. It provides child care in a safe, secure, educational and nurturing environment.
Vacancies exist both for new Family Day Care Providers and also children from 0-12 years needing an alternative child care to centre based care.
The National Family Day Care Quality Assurance System ensures that all Family Day Care services meet and maintain a high quality standard of care.
The Scheme Coordination Team offers carers support, in-service training and resources to ensure best practice. Experienced coordination staff monitors quality of care and placements

Full and Part-time care for working/studying parents, and those requiring respite care, is available. Care for children of shift workers, before and after school care and vacation care is also offered by some carers depending on availability.
