Family Support Services

Family Support Services helps children, youth, families and individuals within the City of Canning and surrounding areas through individual and small group consultations, workshops and community events.  


Our Community Groups for 2016

1. Parents and Babies Group

For parents with children birth to 18months (and siblings). An opportunity for parents to access information, socialise and engage their young children in play.

Time: 10am to 12pm.

Where: Monday Cannington or Tuesday Bentley


2. English Class 1 and English Class 2

A conversational English class for those that would like to improve their skills.

Time: Morning (9.30am to 11.30am) or Afternoon (12pm to 2pm)

Where: Wednesday Cannington


3. Life Skills Class

A program covering material devised to assist the newly arrived humanitarian entrants to settle more easily into Australian life. 

Time: 10am to 12pm

Where: Thursday Cannington


4. Women's Multicultural Support Group

Community support group encouraging the health and wellbeing, social and personal development of women from all cultural backgrounds.

Time: 10am to 12pm

Where: Friday Cannington


5. Thrive Support Group for Carers

A support group for individuals and families in the community with the task of caring for a loved one.

Time: 10am to 12pm

Where: 1st Friday every month. Willetton. Everglades South Canning Community Centre
