Inclusion Support Programme

Cognitive Development of Young Kid with DisabilityThe new Inclusion Support Programme is an Australian Government funded initiative that aims to promote and maintain high quality, inclusive practices in early learning environments by providing support to early childhood and child care services to build their capacity and capability to include all children, including those with high support needs.

The Inclusion Support Programme is delivered by the WA Inclusion Agency. Under the new guidelines, the Inclusion Support Programme aims to support all children including:

  • Children with a disability,
  • Children being diagnosed with a disability or undergoing assessment,
  • Children from diverse cultural and language backgrounds,
  • Children settled in Australia from humanitarian and refugee intervention backgrounds,
  • Children from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds,
  • Children presenting with disruptive behaviours or language and speech delays,
  • Children with a serious medical condition/s and;
  • Children deemed as vulnerable.

The program is a free service to eligible early childhood and child care services. It works at a local level to assist with increasing the knowledge and skills of educators and the capacity of services. It offers practical support to remove the barriers to access for children with additional needs to better facilitate the inclusion of all children at the service.

For assistance, please contact us on 1800 11 WA IS (1800 11 92 47).
