Communicare is pleased to be able to offer support for quality child care through the expansion of our Family Day Care in the Northern suburbs of Perth. Communicare Children’s Services have Carers located in the Marangaroo,Yokine, Noranda, Beechboro, Dianella, Bedford and Morley areas. The Carers share more than 150 years of child care service experience and Communicare is very excited that these experienced and skillful carers have decided to join our organisation.
Communicare's Chief Executive Officer, Martine Pitt, says that family day care is a unique, home-based child care service providing quality care for children in the homes of family day care carers, which is supported by a specialist coordination and resource team at Communicare.
"Family day care provides learning and development in a safe, secure and stimulating home environment for babies and children up to 12 years of age", she said.
"Many of our families tend to stay in touch with their Family Day Care provider for a number of years and in some cases their children’s children are accessing child care through the Family Day Care network. This shows that they have had many positive experiences in this form of care where a family becomes like an extended network to children and their parents", she said.
"Parents can be assured that Communicare will continue to support and work with them to provide quality care for their children".
Communicare is also looking for new Carers to join its Family Day Care Scheme. Formal qualifications, although desirable, are not required as support provided by Communicare will enable Carers to provide a quality child care service from their own home.
Communicare provides regular training opportunities along with the necessary administrative paperwork to members. Family Day Care Providers with Communicare are viewed as Commonwealth approved childcare services and can offer full child care benefit entitlements to families. Communicare supports Carers from the Northern Suburbs through our Mirrabooka office, whatever is more convenient for our Carers and parents.
Family Day Care is one of the most inexpensive businesses to set up and can be achieved in around three months. From your first enquiry Communicare provides assistance throughout the licensing process as it can appear daunting especially if you are a newcomer to Children’s Services. Communicare staff can also assist with filling out appropriate forms and can visit your home informing you on what the licensing requirements will be for your environment.
