Jade was born and raised in Darwin and is of mixed nationalities – Aboriginal (a descendent of the Yadhiagana/Wuthathi people of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland), Filipino, Chinese, Malayan and English. The diversity of her background is something of which Jade is very proud and appreciative of. Growing up and being surrounded by so many strong inspirational family members, Jade has learnt the value of resilience, loyalty and patience, and endeavours to live her life, both professionally and personally, by these principles.
Jade has served in many public service roles across Human Services and Community Services, both state and federal, and is currently employed by the Western Australia Department of Communities as a Project Manager. As a mother and career woman, Jade acknowledges the opportunities that she has been fortunate enough to receive throughout her journey and is passionate about ensuring that similar, if not greater, opportunities are afforded to those who follow, particularly today’s most vulnerable cohorts.
With experience in Project Management, Strategic Development, Organisation Structural Review, Business Analysis, Policy and frontline Service Delivery, Jade brings to the Communicare Board extensive experience across Community Services, particularly in Housing and Aborginal outcomes.
Jade joined Communicare’s board in January 2020.
