Kate first joined Communicare in 2006 and was appointed Director Family Violence and Justice Services in 2015. Kate has a Bachelor of Psychology and is currently a Registered Psychologist and Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor and has 20 years’ experience working across community services, disability and youth sectors in both Australia and New Zealand.
Kate’s career focus has centered on working with individuals and families at risk within offending populations; family violence and mental health. She is a strong advocate for increasing safety and wellbeing of individuals, building professional and community awareness of the complexities of family and domestic violence, mental health and co-occurring alcohol and other drugs issues.
An experienced trainer and public speaker, Kate is the current Chairperson for the WA Family Pathway Network, an advisor on the Family Court of WA Reference Group, a member of the WA Senior Officers Group and Community Sector Roundtable and a member of the Family Violence Officer Level Committee.
Kate’s Director role covers the service delivery and development of our men’s and women’s support services.
