Supported Multicultural Playgroups

Our supported multicultural playgroups provide opportunities for parents and their children to enhance their relationships, increase their skills and confidence to develop valuable social and family support networks.

Facilitated by one of our experienced Playgroup Leaders during school terms; our groups can also assist parents with parenting information and referrals to other family support services.

There are no fees for our sessions, only a gold coin donation and a piece of fruit to share for morning tea; we provide all tea and coffee.

Who are the Supported Multicultural Playgroups for?

We engage with families and their children aged up to five years, who identify as part of the following groups:

  • Families who are socially isolated, vulnerable or disadvantaged;
  • Families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds;
  • Indigenous families;
  • Teenage and young parent families;
  • Grandparent carers.

Our Location and Times

On Thursdays and Fridays our playgroups are hosted between 9.30am and 11.30am at our child care facilities in Cannington, Western Australia.
