Communicare Academy teacher Matt Borgward and eight of his students played in the 2019 Annual ASX Sharemarket Game 1.

At the end of the game opened on 15 May, Communicare Academy ranked 23rd in WA alongside some very well-known schools. Out of 16,300 entries, students, Nickolas Scolaro and Daniel Smith ranked 68th and 85th resepectively and Tori Pinner ranked 2nd in WA and 13th overall, which is a fantastic result.

The ASX Sharemarket Game is open to all schools across Australia. Students can put into practice what they are learning in class on stocks and investments.

They receive a virtual $50,000 to invest over a 10 week period in 220 companies listed on the ASX. The prices students buy and sell stocks and shares are the same as prices in the live market, so this is as close to real life share trading as you can get.

The game is free to play and students can win great cash prizes.
