This quarter we were successful in our bid for tender as lead agency for the new Settlement Engagement and Transition Support – Client Services program funded by the Commonwealth Government.

The new service – to be known as 'Settle In' will be delivered with partner agencies Save the Children and Centrecare across the Perth South East and West regions, and Mandurah.
Settle In will deliver a range of support services to newly arrived refugee and migrant individuals and families to develop their knowledge, skills and support networks to successfully settle into their new Australian community.

Settle In will deliver an integrated service across one-on-one case work support as well as group work to provide essential support to parents, children and young people.

Aligned with Communicare’s strategic focus on Place Based Service Delivery the partnership will seek to co-locate Settle In services in accessible locations with other programs such as job networks and education facilities to encourage people to use these pathways to access the diverse services they need.

Settle In will continue to build on Communicare's well-known reputation in working with new migrants and refugees through our previous Settlement Grants Program and provide further opportunities to support individuals and families as they begin their new life in Western Australia.

This is a long-term funding arrangement which will commence on 1 January 2019 and end on 30 June 2022.
