Communities for Children WA State Forum

On April 4th and 5th over 50 community sector organisations from across WA came together for the Communities for Children (CfC) WA State Forum focusing on the theme "a sense of belonging".

News
Community sector organisations including Swan Alliance Communities for Children, Save the Children, The Smith Family, Wunan Foundation (Kununurra), MercyCare, Curtin University, Indigo Junction, Kwinana Early Years’ Service, Regional Development Australia (Pilbara), Amity Health (Albany) and WACOSS joined Communicare to put early childhood development on the agenda across the public and private sector.

The two-day forum was held at ‘The Platform’ and participants heard from industry leader Creating Communities Australia. They presented on how everyone involved in the sector can grow and nurture our communities to provide everyone with a sense of belonging and how to co-design service delivery to make a collective impact on our communities for our children and their families.

Since 2005 Communities for Children has utilised a "whole-of-community" approach to enhancing early childhood development and wellbeing; providing intervention and prevention programs to improve outcomes for children aged from birth to 12 years and their families.
