Communities for Children partnered up with The Fathering Project, Westfield Park Primary School and Armadale Bunnings to support a 'building a billie cart' community event and BBQ on Monday 18th of November.

Held at Joe Saunders Park, Champions Lake, this event encouraged local fathers and 'father figures' to spend quality time and have fun with their children, whilst building billie carts together.

Up to 15 dads, uncles and granddads and 32 children participated in this wonderful community event.

Bunnings Armadale provided all the materials and tools, and Communities for Children, Danielle Makin and Angela Murphy provided and cooked the BBQ lunch.

The event also provided Danielle and Angela with an opportunity to share information about the services Communities for Children provides in the local Armadale community.

Everyone who attended had a great time and were excited about taking their billie carts home.

Communicare values partnering with other organisations to benefit individuals and families in the local community.
