International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Our organisation has many women who are never afraid to tackle a challenge, add value wherever they can and give everything 100% to help shape our business.
On Friday March 6th, a range of our people from Community Safety and Wellbeing, Family Services, People and Culture and Program Policy joined the Women's Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services (WA) for an afternoon tea to raise funds to assist women and children establish safe homes after living with violence and abuse. Our team, along with 200 guests, heard an emotional lived experience story and an address regarding equality from the Water Corporation.
Diversity and gender equality is embedded in our workplace culture and something we celebrate every day but we need to join forces across generations to make WA a place where every girl has the potential to fulfil her potential.
