November was a busy month for our Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) teams in Armadale and Gosnells.

HIPPY is a Communicare program under Children and Families Directorate for pre-primary aged children. Our teams based in Cannington and Armadale provide assistance to parents and their pre-school aged children to support children's growth and development prior to starting primary school.

Both Gosnells and Armadale hosted events for the children and their parents to celebrate their graduation from the HIPPY program into primary school. Certificates of Participation were also presented to the children currently in the program. We look forward to seeing these children and their parents again in 2019.

Everyone enjoyed Leon Hayward's warm Welcome to Country and Director, Children and Family Robyn Antenucci shared some valuable insights about who we are and the importance of our work in the local community.

There was a photo booth with a DJ and finger food to help celebrate these wonderful occasions.

Congratulations to HIPPY Coordinators, Nola Earnshaw and June Mader and their hardworking teams for the wonderful support they provide to these families and see them successfully transition to the next stage of their learning journey.
