Communicare and Clan WA have finalised their partnership today, October 2nd 2017, ensuring WA parents will continue to have access to services throughout the Perth metropolitan area to build and strengthen their capacity as parents. The powerful merger will propel Communicare’s aspiration and purpose of establishing community inclusion and community safety.
Communicare is committed to collaborating with like-minded organisations that are aligned with its values and who understand that, by integrating collective experiences, knowledge and skills; a significant contribution can be made to the community.
For more than 20 years, Clan WA has provided family and parenting community courses, information seminars and individual support to contribute towards building strong, resilient communities. The amalgamation will further strengthen Communicare’s service capability, in particular, in working alongside parents to manage the challenges of parenting, building parenting knowledge, skills and confidence, understanding children’s development and developing additional community partnerships with other local and relevant supports.
“This is an exciting amalgamation for both organisations and we are extremely proud to be able to finalise an agreement that will see the continuation of the best possible services and support for WA families,” said Communicare CEO, Melissa Perry.
Furthermore, Clan WA’s significant volunteer base will provide Communicare the opportunity to expand its ability to further grow its diverse services to the community.
