This morning we joined sector colleagues at CCIWA's breakfast for Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers; hosting the Hon. Senator Michalia Cash who addressed funding allocated to Western Australia to support Jobs and Skills.  These programs deliver value for employment and training with supporting data showing great growth for new Traineeships and Apprentices in Western Australia.

"It is a time for calm, rational thinking and leadership," said Senator Cash.

Senator Cash, also discussed the Federal Government's approach to mitgating COVID-19 and called for calm by all businesses and the Australian people. There was a high focus on the recent Federal release of the economic stimulus package and its impact on the Australian economy which Senator Cash stated was 'scalable'.

In regards to the VET Sector, there is reform for funding of Trainees and Apprentices and a view to look at funding amounts across each State as fixed with the ability to add on services for additional funding depending on location, industry, and numbers - a promising outlook.
