Our Senior Management team is currently undertaking a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management as a result of new funding from the Department of Education, Skills and Employment.
Senior Managers, Managers and Coordinators across all directorates began this course at the end of 2020, attending workshops and e-learning courses, and are set to complete all units by 2021.
This course delivers an in-depth overview of topics including recruitment, emotional intelligence, communication, time management, difficult conversations, mentoring, risk management and operational planning – components that are all central to high functioning teams.
It also trains managers in monitoring health and safety, implementing operational plans, managing projects and promoting collaborative culture within a workplace.
For our teams to remain effective within their respective spaces, it is imperative all members are led by a strong management structure aligned with our organisational values, mission and vision.
As we continue to bring positive change to those who need it most in our communities, it is equally important we engage in opportunities that upskill our processes and procedures – and this course is enabling our first line managers to do this.
