The SkillsWest Careers and Employment Expo is West Australia's largest community event for tertiary, skills and training centres to network with each other and connect with high school students, graduates and other job seekers to share information on the different programs and services they provide.

Over 80 organisations attend this event and this year, members from our Transition to Work (TtW) team were amongst the mix highlighting the program's approach to assisting young job seekers secure employment, understand expectations in the workplace and develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to their desired industry.

All attendees were also provided with the opportunity to discover the latest vacancies, career seminars and gather advice on constructing a winning resume – specific to the roles they were interested in.

Those who attended the TtW stall went home with goodie bags, and parents uncovered more about our Communicare Academy and the unique way in which it aims to re-engage young people with their education.

This was a great event which enabled our TtW team to directly meet and converse with their primary market, and further extend our organisational portfolio within the education and employment space.
