Protecting children is everyone's responsibility and to date, every step in our Child Safe accreditation process has only emphasised this.
Braveheart's White Balloon Day
has run for over 20 years and this year our Cannington corporate office wore white in efforts of raising awareness to the critical and sometimes disregarded issue of child sexual assault and exploitation.
This annual reminder helps educate workplaces, individuals, government departments and communities on how we can prevent this violation of human rights to the world's most innocent and vulnerble citizens.
Children, youth and families form a large part of our organisation and we have a number of colleagues who work at the fronline with these clients to ensure they are included, heard and safeguarded.
Since beginning our accreditation process, we have commenced Child Safe training for all staff members, reviewed child-related policies and procedures, and continue to assess how we can best embed Child Safe national principles within the structure and operations of our organisation.
As an organisation with zero tolerance to child abuse and bullying, we are responisible for maintaining a whole organisation-wide response to their growing and evolving needs - and our recognition of causes such as White Balloon Day further demonstrates our commitment to preserving and optimising their future outcomes.
