Strengthening the wellbeing and safety of families

Families Together is a counselling service which aims to strengthen family relationships and functioning, prevent family breakdown, and support the wellbeing and safety of children and young people.

The program offers free counselling services for individuals, partnerships, or family groups, who are seeking support to enhance skills for healthy family functioning. This includes conflict resolution, healthier communication skills, and gaining a higher insight to problem solving. Families can access up to eight sessions with a qualified counsellor, however they can be re-referred for additional sessions if the need arises.

The program also offers therapeutic education workshops and peer group development to enable participants to have opportunities to connect with others in their community, gain information and develop valuable peer networks. These development groups will be delivered when there is identified needs within the community.
