Helping those who are new to Australia

Settle In is delivered by Communicare in partnership with 54 Reasons and Centrecare and is available to individuals and families in the South-East and South-West metropolitan regions of Perth and Mandurah.

The program works to support newly arrived humanitarian entrants and eligible migrants as they begin their new lives in Australia. It helps them become active members of their local communities, build connections and relationships, and understand more about Australian life and customs. Our team also provide support with issues like housing, education, training, jobs, and citizenship.

For women experiencing family and domestic violence

Settle In assists migrant and refugee women at risk of, or experiencing, family and domestic violence through intervention, advocacy, information and referrals to services. Settle In can help with:

  • Providing a Women’s Advocate to empower women and assist them to improve their safety,
  • Assisting with statements to the police and applying for Family Violence Restraining Order and/or Court support,

  • Providing Community Education and raising awareness in CaLD Communities.
