White Ribbon Australia is part of the world’s largest social movement to end men’s violence against women. Through a primary prevention approach, we aim to stop violence before it starts.

White Ribbon Australia’s vision is a national free from men’s violence against women. We achieve this through community education and mobilisation campaigns, youth programs, and workplace initiatives. Through our programs and campaigns, we call on men and boys to be actively involved in ending violence and abuse.

In 2020, Communicare acquired White Ribbon Australia. This addition built on Communicare’s strong reputation as a family and domestic violence (FDV) services provider in Western Australia and meant Communicare now offered programs for each type of FDV prevention – primary, secondary and tertiary.

Stronger Together

Since joining with Communicare, White Ribbon Australia has made incredible achievements. In the 2022-2023 financial year, White Ribbon Australia:

  • held 568 Community Consultations,
  • reached 1,200 community members through haircuts with 4 Barber Shops trained in primary prevention,
  • educated 3,700 young people through ‘You Can Ask That’ secondary school panels,
  • supported 124 Community Partners dedicated to making positive change,
