Communicare's Tuart House facility is a regional crisis accommodation and support service for women and their children who are homeless, or are at imminent risk of homelessness, as a result of family and domestic violence.
Communicare's Tuart House is a safe place for women and their children to be empowered in order to remain safe while rebuilding their lives.
The Benefits of Communicare Tuart House
Communicare's Tuart House program provides the following support:
- Emergency accommodation.
- Case management.
- Advocacy for women and children
- Outreach support.
- A therapeutic environment.
Staff can assist with individual needs and support regarding matters such as, but not limited to:
- Legal referrals and FVRO support
- Housing referrals
- Financial referrals
- Children’s services support and referrals
- Health and wellbeing support
- Counselling referrals

Communicare's Tuart House crisis accommodation service is available to women and their children across Australia who are homeless, or at high risk of homelessness, as a result of family and domestic violence.
How Can Communicare Tuart House be Accessed?
Communicare’s Tuart House is staffed 24/7, and referrals can be made by either accessing the Online Referral Form
or by contacting staff on (08) 9752 2785. Referrals to the program can either be made through self-referral, or by referral from an agency.
Our program supports up to six women, with or without accompanying children at any time. As Communicare’s Tuart House is a crisis accommodation service, there are no wait lists.
