Helping improve your child's wellbeing and development

The Parenting Support Service provides support for parents and carers to help improve your child’s wellbeing and development. SEMPSS provides parenting support from birth to 18, and can help you gain the skills and confidence to manage parenting challenges and strengthen your relationship with your child.

SEMPSS’ qualified Parenting Facilitators can support you through:

  • Individual support
  • Parenting workshops
  • Information sessions
  • Facilitated peer group meetings
  • Referrals to specialist services as needed.

SEMPSS parenting workshops are accredited workshops on a range of parenting topics. These include parent-child relationships, attachment, behaviour, emotional regulation, sleep, feeding, toileting and play and development. SEMPSS is delivered in partnership with 54 Reasons. 54 Reasons provide culturally appropriate in-home support to Aboriginal families and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
