Together Again Series

Supporting parents on the journey to reunification

The Together Again Series is a flexible set of workshops designed for parents whose children are not currently in their care, whether due to family separation, children living with other parent, family or carer, currently going through family court, or out-of-home care arrangements with the Department of Communities.

Parents can attend one, two, or all three sessions. Each session is interactive, practical, and tailored to support families working towards reunification. Certificates of participation are provided for each session completed.

Please note: This program is for parents who currently have some form of contact with their child/ren.

Session topics include:

  • Understanding Your Child/ren – seeing the world through your child’s eyes and exploring their needs.
  • Building the Relationship – reconnecting, rebuilding trust, and strengthening bonds.
  • Making the Most of Time – practical strategies for making the most of visits and time together.

Workshops are delivered in small groups and scheduled according to interest and need.

I felt heard and not alone in my struggles. I felt there was going to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and I would be better equipped to manage situations in the future.

SEMPSS Parent

When I first met Jade, I was in a really dark place, struggling with motherhood and feeling completely disconnected from my two-and-a-half-year-old son. Honestly, I thought meeting with her would be a waste of time. I didn’t believe anything could help.

But I was wrong.

Jade changed everything. She gave me the tools, reassurance, guidance and support I didn’t even know I needed. She eased my anxieties, listened without judgement, and walked beside me every step of the way — from daycare visits and check-ins to just being there when I needed someone to talk to.

Now, my son is four and a half, and I love being his mum. We have the most beautiful bond, something I once thought I’d never feel.

I truly don’t know how I would have survived motherhood without Jade. She’s been our guiding light, and I will be forever grateful.
