The WA Inclusion Agency
The WA Inclusion Agency (WAIA) delivers the Inclusion Support Program in Western Australia. WAIA is a collaboration of three partner agencies, with Communicare as the lead agency:
WAIA provides free support to eligible mainstream Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services to build their capacity to provide quality practices for all children, including children with additional needs. The Inclusion Support Program is a national program funded by the Australian Government Department of Education; it is a key component of the Government’s Child Care Safety Net.
For ECEC services, WAIA can help your centre access the support needed to provide an inclusive environment for all children.
For families or guardians of children with additional needs, WAIA can help your ECEC provider make a plan and access equipment to help your child succeed.
The Specialist Equipment Library
Communicare offers a range of specialist equipment for children with additional support needs. Our library of equipment includes specialist seating, toilet frames, sensory equipment, communication support, toys, hoists, slings, trays and ramps.
