Our WA Inclusion Agency delivers the Inclusion Support Program in partnership with One Tree Community Services and Wanslea; supporting eligible Early Childhood and Child Care services with advice, strategies and specialist equipment loans to be inclusive of all children, including those with high support needs.

FAMILY SERVICES
Our Building a Balance program is a free counselling service supporting young people and their families to experiencing disruptive behaviours and works to improve family functioning.

Our Communities for Children program supports families with children aged pre-birth to 12 years, in the Armadale and surrounding areas, to collaboratively provide better health and wellbeing outcomes for local children in partnership with community partner organisations.

Our Family Support Services provide tailored support to meet the needs of families in the local south east metropolitan area to build their strengths to respond to specific challenges or connect them with appropriate community support resources.

Our HIPPY program is a home-based early learning and parenting program that works alongside parents in Armadale and Gosnells to equip them with the skills at home to become their child’s first teacher and support their school readiness.

Our South East Metro Parenting Support Service, in partnership with Save the Children, aims to support families to access parenting help including parenting programs, information sessions, group work and individual consultations, to strengthen their parenting skills and assist them to thrive as parents.

Our Connected Communities Mirrabooka program provides free in-home support for parents with children aged birth to 12 years who are experiencing issues including challenging behaviours and low levels of school attendance. The program aims to strengthen families and communities through the provision links to community support services and free parenting courses to help parents understand their children’s needs, behaviours and their own role as a parent.

Our Family and Relationship Services provides a range of programs focused on strengthening family relationships, building parenting and financial management skills and developing greater community connections to support families, children’s wellbeing, young people, multicultural communities and other individuals with special circumstances.

Our Supported Multicultural Playgroups are weekly sessions during school terms, based in Bentley and Cannington, which empower families to support young children’s development through the opportunity to participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate play experiences and activities.

Our Financial Counselling Services provide a free, independent and confidential service to individuals and families offering solutions to immediate financial problems and advice on how to manage their own financial stability.

We are the lead agency of the Fremantle/Rockingham Family Support Network, in partnership with Yorgum Aboriginal Corporation, providing integrated and coordinated secondary family support services for vulnerable families so they can keep their children safely at home.

EDUCATION SERVICES
Our Communicare Academy is an independent, Curriculum and Re-Engagement with Education (CaRE) secondary school committed to assisting at-risk students to re-engage with their education. Based in Kenwick, and with a focus on student’s wellbeing, our school provides a challenging and inspiring educational experience designed to support young people to succeed.

Provides a range of specialist training and professional development for people working within the community services and Government sectors. Our training can be tailored to suit the needs of professionals, with a range of packages available to meet time constraints and skill development requirements.

The Alternative Education Program supports severely at-risk young people of compulsory school age who are disengaged from, and may not be effectively catered for, to reconnect with mainstream school environments.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
ParentsNext is a pre-employment program aimed at parents with young children. The program works with parents in assisting them to identify and reach their education and employment goals.

Our Transition to Work program targets early school leavers and young people, supporting them to understand the expectations of modern workplaces, develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours employers desire and build the practical knowledge to secure employment. Support services include vocational education and training, internship opportunities and participation in work-like experiences.

FAMILY VIOLENCE & JUSTICE SERVICES
Communicare Breathing Space is our unique residential men’s behaviour change program which supports men to make long-term behavioural changes after they have been abusive in their intimate partner or family relationships. An alternative to removing women and children form the family home, the program provides participants with six months accommodation and support whilst they undertake an intensive therapeutic program.

Our Safer Communities program provides support to both men and women who identify as having used abusive and violent behaviours in their relationships and who wish to make sustainable positive changes to improve their relationships. Support is provided as group intervention sessions for men and individual consultations for women.
Program Type: Funded by the Government of Western Australia Department of Justice for court mandated referrals; Fee for Service for community and self-referrals
Our Connect and Respect program works with perpetrators of violence, referred by the Department of Justice, to build awareness of the impacts of their violence, build skills and efficacy in regulating emotions and imporivng decision making and increase capacity to hold themselves accountable for their behaviour.

Our Partnerships for Family Safety program supports the partners affected by violence or abuse inflicted by a participant in one of our men’s behaviour change programs. The program works to empower women through a consented phone service which ensures they are connected to their community with safety planning, referrals to appropriate support services and women’s advocacy.

Our Safe at Home Domestic Violence Outreach program provides telephone support to help men who wish to make sustained positive behavioural changes, breaking the cycle of violence and how they relate to their partners, ex-partners and children through the development of respectful relationships and linkages to support services which promote safety and behaviour change.

Our Tuart House facility, situated in WA’s south-west, supports women and their children who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness as a result of family and domestic violence. Our therapeutic community provides emergency accommodation and creates a space for women and their children to feel safe and empowered to rebuild their lives.

SETTLEMENT SERVICES
Our Multicultural Women’s Group provides women from all cultural backgrounds the opportunity to come together, connect with the community and make new friends to minimise social isolation. Our groups encourage health and wellbeing and personal and social development.

Our Settlement Service Activities build the capacity of newly arrived refugees and humanitarian entrants to begin their new lives in Australia by supporting them to actively participate in their local community through the provision of individually tailored case work, referral and advocacy support, education and employment training information workshops and translating and interpretation services.
